Yes, both Pulse Lite and Pulse Pro are completely free. No subscriptions, no ads, no hidden costs.
Pulse requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later. It runs natively on both Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) and Intel Macs.
Apple's App Store requires sandboxing, which prevents system-level features like file cleanup and app uninstalling. Pulse Lite is a monitoring-only version for the App Store. Pulse Pro is downloaded directly and has full access to all tools.
Pulse collects only anonymous usage analytics (which you can disable in Settings). No personal data, no file contents, no browsing history is ever sent. All cleanup operations are performed locally on your Mac.
Pulse offers similar system monitoring and cleanup features — smart cleanup, app uninstaller, large file finder, duplicate finder, maintenance tools — but Pulse is completely free. CleanMyMac requires an annual subscription.
